This video is a record of an investigation by The Today Show. They discovered many retailers will take back used underwear and swimwear, and sell them again as if they were new items from the manufacturer, after adding replacement tags to the garments.
Using hidden cameras to record their actions,the Today Show bought lingerie and bikinis at several well known stores. They removed the tags and the protective lining, then added two black dots to the item label. They went back to the store a week later and returned the items. Each one took the returns and gave a full refund. The investigators later went back and checked to see if their marked undies were on the sales floor and found them at almost every store, with a couple of exceptions.
